This quick and easy afternoon tea not only tastes delicious but makes your kitchen small amazing too! Try serving with some natural Greek yoghurt and fresh berries. 


100g margarine or butter

1 ¼ cups castor sugar

¾ cup of freshly squeezed orange juice

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla essence

1/3 cup milk of your choice

2 cups flour


  1. Preheat oven to 180⁰C, grease and line tin
  2. Place all ingredients in a bowl and beat with an electric beater on a low speed until combined
  3. Increase speed and beat until smooth
  4. Pour mix into loaf tin and bake for 30 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean
  5. Allow to stand in tin for 5 minutes before turning out onto wire rack to cool completely
